Comments about Single Glass Optic for Lensbaby Composer, Muse, & Control Freak Lenses:
Bought this with a Lensbaby Composer so that I could take softer images. It does take softer images ( but I prefer the original double glass lens now). It was easy to take the first lens out and put in this one. However getting this one out was a major task! It was stuck, you could push it part the way but it felt like suction was keeping it in. Request for help from the Lensbaby forum only resulted it someone else having the same problem! After about a week I used brute force and dislodged it - so be warned.

Super easy to use. If you don't want to spend some extra steps in CS5, this is the way to go. Frame it out and bammo, you are done. Those of you who have become handicap with your camera because it "does it all", it's a good change of pace so you'll take your time to frame a shot and make sure it's in focus. Great results, good piece of equipment.

I use this optic with my Lensbaby Composer on my Sony Alpha 200 and I love it. Offers a beautiful blur in f2.8!

Comments about Single Glass Optic for Lensbaby Composer, Muse, & Control Freak Lenses:
I have the Lensbaby Composer with both the plastic optic and the double glass optic. I love the clarity of the double glass and bought the plastic optic for the "toy camera" dreamy effect. Most of the time the plastic optic is too dreamy, a bit too blurry for my liking. The single glass optic offers some sharpness at the point of focus while providing optimal blur at the edges especially at f/2.8. I am very happy with this addition to the Composer.

I use this optic with my Lensbaby Muse on my Canon EOS Rebel and I love it. Definitely a fun addition to my gear and produces unique, interesting images! A must have for the "effects" enthusiast! Easy to use with the Muse; easy to take out and store. Comes with a little plastic container so it's easy to store and keep safe. If you don't already have a Lensbaby with the optic swaps, get one!

This is a neat optic. It doesn't provide the sharp sweet spot that the Double Glass Optic does, however it is less than half the cost and a good way to see if you like the effect.
Lots of fun, nice results, thank goodness for digital - I can't imagine doing this with film!
