This kit includes three "fun" optics for the lensbaby and gives you some very creative results. The plastic optic will give you images that are similar to a Diana or Holga toy camera, the pinhole optic gives you that look of your old shoebox camera that you made in art class, and the single glass optic gives you a slightly softer look than the double glass lensbaby optic. The price is great since you get three optics for just a little more than the price of two. Excellent value for a great product.

I use these lenses with my Lensbaby Composer to extend the creative possibilities of the LB itself. I get out the Lensbaby when I need to explore subjects differently. The lens exchange system is very simple to use with each lens coming in its own container. The tool required to swap the optics is built into the lid of each container, no additional tool required.

If you own a Lensbaby composer lens I think you will definitely want to buy these other optics. I have been very, very pleasantly surprised by the images I can get from these little add-ons -- and they are barely $33 each. That's just amazing.The single-glass lenshas been great for people shots and black and white, the plastic lens has a fantastic "dream effect," and the zone plate/pinhole is great for long-exposure photos (a tripod an absolute must). I am having a blast with these optics. Long-term it might get tiresome carrying them around in their little jars and using the tool/lid to swap them in an out, and using the magnet tool to change apertures, but so far even that part is fun. This is definitely mad-scientist photography stuff, and I for one think the entire Lensbaby line is genius.

It is a great tool to express your creative side. I am a hobbyist and do not use them too often, these are lenses for very specific subjects and compositions. In my opinion they excel in providing this moody feel to fall pictures. Overall - nice thing to have if you like experimenting. In my opinion plastic optic a little to soft.
