The Beyerdynamic EMX 72 CAM is a stereo condenser microphone with dual capsules mounted in an X/Y configuration. The EA86 shoe mount is included for mounting the microphone on top of cameras, and a 5-pin XLR to stereo 1/8" (3.5mm) mini cable is included for connecting to camcorders, portable digital recording devices, etc.
Two capsules are mounted at an angular width of 120° in order to achieve realistic stereo imaging and detail with a single microphone. The EMX 72 CAM is battery operated with a single 1.5V AA alkaline or rechargeable battery.
A three position switch features On, Off and B.C. (Battery Charge) modes, and an LED illuminates when the microphone is powered. The microphone is a well suited, yet cost effective solution, for capturing performances, rehearsals, ambiance, audio for sound design and much more.
