The HC9 features a Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T professional quality lens, 10x optical zoom and a 3.2Mp CMOS sensor for excellent video.

Super SteadyShot image stabilization protects against the age old problem of handshake with even more accuracy than ever before. In addition, The 2.7" touch panel Clear Photo LCD Plus display boasts user-friendly menus and widescreen viewing for recording and playback. An HDMI connection provides fast transfer of audio and video in single cable. The HDR-HC9 is just the right blend of old and new coming together for an amazing video experience.

• OEM Version of Vegas Pro 8 Video Editing Software: The Vegas Pro 8 Video Editing Software for Windows from Sony is a powerful nonlinear editing featuring precise editing tools that deliver an efficient and professional video workflow. Vegas also delivers tools for audio production for video, giving you a complete solution for any Windows-based NLE editing workflow. Editing tools give you full drag-and-drop functionality when working with your timeline. You can edit SD and HD projects using mouse or keyboard trimming tools as well as ripple editing modes. Vegas supports enhanced video monitoring, customizable window layouts, color-coded snapping and support for HDV, SDI, and XDCAM formats. It allows for unlimited tracks of audio, 24-bit/192 kHz support, on the fly punch-in recording, 5.1 surround mixing, effects automation and time compress/expand.
