I like the case because it is very durable and has a very nice lining. The soft lining makes me feel very safe keeping my camera in it. There is also a belt strap for easy mobility.

the case fits nicely my wife's A3100 IS. The padding is very nice and thick, it feels like the camera is well protected. It doesn't include a strap so you must use the strap from the camera.

The case doubles the thickness of what I must carry. Eliminating the wrap-around cover would reduce the thickness. Also, perhaps the manufacturer could employ a stiffer, but thinner material to protect the camera. But unavoidable tradeoffs soften this criticism. They would have to give up some of the shock absorbing qualities of the present design. And, despite its thickness, the case, as designed, still manages to fit in my pocket.
The case does not entirely protect the camera. Openings near the top would allow rain to enter. Also, if you had the camera in a bag with other things, small or pointed objects could poke through the openings and do minor cosmetic damage. But again, the manufacturer had to make tradeoffs. A zippered opening would provide a better seal but make it more difficult to retrieve the camera. And, with the current design, one can carry the camera on one's belt where an overlying jacket would protect it from the weather.

This is to carry my Grandsons first camera in. When he wasn't taking pictures with his new camera, he kept it in this case. It has a belt loop, so he could keep the camera with him, and not for get it, because he and it are attached to each other.
