The Quest 3M Night Vision Monocular is a multitasking waterproof NVD that features a magnification level of 3.0x. When total darkness prevails, the integral IR illuminator provides ample supplementary lighting that is invisible to the human eye.

This fine optical device features 3x magnification which is a good all-around choice for general purpose viewing outdoors; smaller subjects will be easily identifiable, and distant scenes will appear more up-close-and-personal.

The Quest 3M is outfitted with high-quality multicoated optics that enhance image clarity under difficult viewing conditions. Here you have a well built and rugged monocular that's both water and fog proof; this NVD is an excellent choice for use in rain, snow, or dusty environments. The Quest 3m is an indispensable piece of equipment for any individual whose activity involves observations in dark environments.

There are many variables that affect the distance that one can see with a night vision device; the object's size, ambient weather and lighting conditions, the level of detail needed for recognition, etc. The important factors to consider when evaluating any night vision device are the generation of the intensifier tube along with its specified resolution and s/n ratio. The magnification, clarity, and light transmission performance of the NVD's optics also contribute to its low/no-light performance capabilities.

All NVDs sold by B&H feature bright-light protection systems. However, this does not mean that bright light can/will not damage the device. Exposure to bright light compromises the longevity and performance of image intensifier tubes.
