Solid to use and film with but if your cam is heavy and you hold right near the end it will shake a bit. so I found holding it more near the back was better. But it's good to have and I have been using while snowboarding so it's been put through the paces.

The Cam Caddie is too light for a Canon HF G10 camcorder. Movement from walking or running is still present in the video and it's only slightly better than hand held. Perhaps more weight would solve the problem. It does work well for ground level shots provided the cam caddie is fairly level.

Finally had the opportunity to try this on a recent hiking trip in the Rockies. I had a wide angle lens on my 5DII. At first I thought the bumpy footage was due to the rough terrain, but even the footage I shot on pavement wasn't impressive. Out of several attempts with different techniques, I didn't get any useful footage. It's less jittery than holding the camera with your hands, but I was hoping for something much smoother than I got. Mounting and balancing the camera is easy because the handle is so large that you can make up for imperfect balance by holding it differently. The video samples on their website shows mostly video of something moving, which distracts you from the camera movement.
