The VAIO VGC-RT100Y All-in-One Desktop Computer from Sony is an all-in-one computer built with video professionals and home theater enthusiasts in mind. The system features a high-quality 25.5" widescreen display, powerful nVIDIA graphics, and a Blu-ray burner.

The computer features an all-in-one design that places it completely within the 25.5" form factor of a widescreen LCD display. The display features a 1920 x 1200 resolution, allowing it to natively display high-def 1080p content. A remote control, wireless keyboard, and wireless mouse are included.

The system features a plethora of professional input and output capabilities, including eSATA, FireWire-400, and USB. It features HDMI input and output, S/PDIF output, and an ATSC/NTSC TV tuner, allowing it to double as an HDTV.

The VAIO is powered by a 2.33GHz Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q8200 CPU and boasts 4GB of RAM, 1TB hard drive capacity, a Blu-ray Burner, and nVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT graphics. Windows Vista Ultimate is the platform that ties all this hardware and software together, providing a great computer for videophiles, backed by the Sony name.

• Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q8200: The computer is powered by an Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q8200 CPU, giving you the power to run software to interface with digital devices such as digital cameras, digital video cameras and MP3 players. The quad-core technology delivers 4 execution cores in one CPU, delivering better performance than a comparable dual-core processor.

• Windows Vista Home Ultimate: The computer comes preloaded with the Windows Vista Ultimate operating system from Microsoft. Vista includes the slick Aero user interface, complete with the Windows Sidebar, gadget support, Flip3D navigation and more. The Ultimate edition of Vista includes the popular Windows Media Center application. This lets your computer more easily connect to your home theater and wirelessly stream media to the Xbox 360 or another compatible media extender device. Ultimate also supports advanced networking tools and includes the BitLocker data encryption tools to protect your sensitive data.

• 25.5" Widescreen Display: The computer is built into a 25.5" Widescreen LCD display. This elegant and space saving design will look great in any decor. The display features a 1920 x 1200 resolution and XBRITE-FullHD technology for a stunning picture.

• Blu-ray Burner: The computer includes a Blu-ray drive by Sony. This drive allows you to play back high definition video on Blu-ray disc. You can also burn writable Blu-ray, DVD, DVD-RAM, and CD discs.

• ATSC/NTSC TV Tuner: The installed NTSC/ATSC TV tuner will let you watch and record television directly on your computer. You'll even be able to use it to import analog video from sources such as VHS tape, allowing you to easily convert your old home videos to digital DVD format. A remote control is even included to help you control your TV tuner.

• Wireless Keyboard and Mouse: The computer comes standard with a wireless keyboard and mouse. This gives you freedom in how you configure your system, allowing you to control it without being tethered by a cable.

• Digital Photo Import: The built-in card reader lets you easily download your pictures from Memory Stick PRO, Memory Stick PRO Duo, Compact Flash, or Secure Digital without the hassle of connecting cables between your camera and computer.

• Digital Video Capture and Editing: The integrated FireWire port allows you to capture video directly from a digital camcorder to your PC. You'll even be able to burn your home movies onto DVD for friends and family to watch.

• Internet Access: AOL Trial software is included, allowing you to easily get connected to the Internet. This lets you get connected to the web and e-mail quickly so that you can see what it has to offer.

• Virus Protection: The included Windows Live OneCare software comes with a trial subscription to help you protect your computer from malicious software such as viruses and spyware. This helps to protect your computer when you are browsing the web or reading e-mail.
