It was simple and easy to use. I simply plugged it into the computer, inserted the hard drive, and began transferring files. It was great. The product worked exactly as described. I like the added fact that it works with both laptop and desktop sized hard drives. I would recommend it to anyone.

this drive enclosure works exactly like it says it will. take any sata drive and plug it into the top. plug the enclosure into your computer via usb and voila, you can access the drive. done with the drive? hit the eject button on the enclosure and pop in a new drive.
it worked right out of the box and i didn't even need to read the directions. that's a real winner in my book.

Comments about Aluratek USB 2.0 Docking Enclosure for 2.5/3.5" SATA Hard Drives:
This docking station saved the day for me. Had a BSOD from a power failure on a 4 year old PC and after several attempts to repair the installation of Windows XP Pro failed I decided to try this docking station from B&H. The docking station worked perfectly and I had recovered all of my files within minutes. Hard drive was from a XP Pro machine and worked flawlessly with a Vista Ultimate 64 bit machine.
