The Canon PIXMA MP480 Photo All-In-One Printer provides the ability to produce copies that are truer to your originals, create a beautiful 4 x 6" borderless print in approximately 45 seconds, and even print photos from a digital camera, memory cards, and camera phones without a computer with PictBridge technology. Furthermore, you can also enhance your images before you print, using the 1.8" color LCD display.

The unique Z-Lid lifts approximately 1.5 inches vertically to delivers clear, complete scans even of thick originals. The included software helps you enhance photos and create a range of albums, calendars, and stickers. Amazingly, all this performance comes in one compact, stylish machine that will enhance any office setting.

• High Performance Ink Cartridges: The two genuine Canon ink cartridges (one B&W, one multi-color) contain specially formulated inks for the highest possible quality. They're easy to use and to replace as needed.

• Preview Then Print: Before printing, preview and fine tune your images using the LCD Display.

• Smart Scanning: The new Auto Scan feature detects the type of original you're scanning... a photo, business card, personal notebook or form then automatically scans and saves the image with the appropriate settings.

• Quick Start: Powering up your printer is now faster than ever. After pressing the power button, you can begin inputting commands in approximately two seconds. Full operation is even enabled in a shorter time now too.

• Print from Memory Cards and Cameras: Print photos directly from a compatible memory card without using your computer. Just insert the card into a built-in slot, select images on the LCD display, and print. You can also print photos directly from your digital camera/DV camcorder.

• Computer-Free Printing: Capture an image with a PictBridge-ready digital camera or DV camcorder, and then connect to the MP480 via the PictBridge Port, and print. There are also card slots built into the unit so users can simply insert a memory card from their digital camera, select an image on the LCD display, edit that image right on the printer and print. Plus you can also print wirelessly from a compatible Bluetooth device, using the optional USB Bluetooth adapter.

• Z-Lid Expansion Top: The unique Z-Lid expansion top lifts approximately 1.5 inches vertically and lies down flat on the page, for a clear, complete scan, even when scanning books or bulky items that do not lie flat on the platen.

• Smart Copying: Dual Color Gamut Processing Technology automatically optimizes quality based on the type of originals you are copying.

• Color Preview Display: Preview and fine tune your images before printing using the 1.8" flip-up color LCD display.

• Fast Printing: Produce beautiful photo lab quality 4 x 6" borderless photo in an incredibly fast 46 seconds, or black text as fast as 20ppm.

• Canon Generation Green: Generation Green is Canon's new environmental initiative. This program encompasses eligible Scanners, PIXMA Inkjet Printers and imageCLASS laser printers. Generation Green is designed to provide business partners, customers and consumers a way to learn about the environmentally-friendly approach that Canon is taking to design many of its current and future products and solutions e.g. possible cost savings through energy efficiency.

• 4 in 1, 2 in 1 Printing: This option allows users to place multiple pages on 1 page, saving up to 75% of your paper supply.

• Reduction in Packaging: The packaging of the MP480 has been reduced by 25% over the previous model, delivering shipping efficiencies of up to 33% percent. Downsizing the packaging helps reduces CO2 emissions and waste throughout the whole process of production, shipping, to selling.

• Reduction in Energy Consumption: As a result the MP480 has reduced its power consumption by 90% over previous models (2004).

• Quick Start: The energy efficient Quick Start feature makes it easy to start up your printer in a matter of seconds, making it more convenient to keep the printer off, thus reducing energy consumption.

• ENERGY STAR: Qualified products are 25% more efficient than conventional models. By using less energy, these products reduce greenhouse gas emissions and saves energy as well as money.

• RoHS Compliance: This is a directive from the European Union that restricts the use of hazardous materials found in electronic products. This product contains no cadmium, mercury, lead, hexavalent chromium, Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB), or Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE).
