The Canon SELPHY ES3 Compact Photo Printer uses an all-in-one ink and media cassette system that has a 50-sheet capacity and one-touch operation for unparalleled ease of use. The stylish vertical design incorporates a carry handle for further convenience, and you don't even need a computer to use this remarkable printer; just print directly from compatible memory cards, PictBridge equipped cameras and camcorders, IrDA wireless devices or Bluetooth cell phones and devices (with optional Bluetooth adapter). You can select and edit your images right on the printer using the 3.5" color LCD display, and a host of built-in effects and adjustments that are at your disposal. The ES3 can even store images with 1GB of capacity available. That can hold about 1000 typical images so you can have all of your favorite pictures handy to make extra prints for family and friends or just show off your images right on the LCD display.

Recommend the next version be 110-220 but not complaining.

I have to say that my new printer goes everywhere with me. We camp and it comes. My daughter joined us in San Antonio from Chicago. The last night of camping we put the memory card in the printer, choose the photos she loved and printed them out. She went home with photos to frame.
It is light, small, easy and prints great photos.
Even when I made a print mistake it was easy to correct.
I am very pleased with this product.

Paper Handling: Each piece of photo print paper goes through a complicated maneuver to draw the paper from the in-tray, shoot it out of the front of the printer, rotate 90 degrees, and then back in the printer for processing. While clever, invariably this results in the image being printed crooked on the paper. If you choose borderless, some of the image will be lost.
Print Quality: The printed images appear "muddy" especially compared with my wife's less expensive Selphy model CP600. In a side-by-side comparison printing identical images (Using Nikon D700 (RAW), processed with Photoshop CS3 (PSD-->JPG), the ES3 image was never as good.
Post Card Ink/Paper: This first time I inserted a packet of paper/ink, the printer ripped the ink sheet, resulting in the complete loss of a 50 sheet cartridge – waste of money.

I purchased this little portable photo lab for an event photography shoot and it was a perfect compliment to the work we do. I wanted everyone who took a photo with us to have a piece they could take home with them that day since the photos don't get delivered for 4-6 weeks. Everyone loved getting to take their photo with them and it helped to generate additional business. The quality of the print was very good, I love that it is an all in one system with print and paper in one and it's fun to have the postcard lines on the back. This little guy has so many fun uses I'm sure it will get lots of attention from us!
