The MXL FR-400 Horizontal Boundary Microphone is designed for capturing stage performances, and also fairs well with instrument capturing applications such as piano boards. The three capsule array results in pristine audio reproduction and minimal noise floor. The low-profile design sits on top of stages with minimal visibility. A low frequency boost switch is used to boost or cut low frequencies by 6dB in order to balance the frequency response.
