The MXL AC-404 is a compact microphone designed to vastly improve the audio quality of voice over Internet applications like iChat and Skype. It sits flat on a surface such as a desk or a table and utilizes the reflections from the surface to capture sound. This makes it low profile visually, while dramatically improving its ability to pick-up voices. It plugs into any standard USB 1.0 or 2.0 port and does not require additional software to operate. No batteries are required. A headphone/speaker jack is included on its rear panel.
