This Pearstone Mini AC/DC Battery Charger is intended for use with Canon NB-2L, NB-2LH, BP-2L12, NB-2L14, NB-2L22 and BP-2L13 rechargeable batteries. Compact and lightweight, the charger features a red/green LED charge indicator light and a folding AC plug. A DC plug is included for use in a vehicle, and a Euro adapter is included for international use.

This is a wonderful compact device for charging the Canon NB-2L/2LH/2L12 battery pack. We use it with the battery for our Canon ZR950 camcorder. Because of its size, it easily fits in a camera bag. With a plug on the back that pops out for easy use, there are no additional wires to keep up with! We put it to use immediately while on vacation and were please with the resulting quick charge. This product comes with a car charger and a converter plug for use in Europe, though we have not tried these yet. Great, handy product.

I bought this off-brand charger for Canon Vixia batteries as it was about 1/2 the price of Canon's charger; big mistake: Batteries fit loosely in the charger as another reviewer also mentions and you have to set it at an angle for good battery contact; the contacts are also flimsy. During my 4th use of it, there was a large "pop" noise and strong ozone vapors emitted. Fortunately I was in the area to hear and smell it happening, so quickly disconnected it to avoid risk of electrical fire from probably an electrical short. The unit was hot to the touch and I found no UL (Underwriters Laboratories) certification on it. I'd NEVER buy this brand again and caution prospective buyers that you get what you pay for. This could wind up costing alot more in fire damage. IMHO this is a cheap knock-off and the risk of fire outweighs any pros it might have. Caveat emptor. I'd give this a no-star rating, but the review template requires at least 1 star to enter.

I've used this product 4 times in 6 days.
I bought this charger for use with the Pearson NB-2LH battery pack for my Canon Vixia HFR100.
Ease of use couldn't be easier.
The manufacturer cautions on leaving the charger plugged in more than 1 hour after charging.
Wish it charged a little bit faster.

I was bummed that the camera only came with a car charger. So I had to order a bunch of these chargers. I have been very pleased by the user friendliness of them. My students have no problem making sure all the batteries are being properly charged when they leave class in a hurry. The little red/green light is great! It is an inexpensive charger and well worth the money

Pros: functions as advertised. Includes car adaptor.
Cons: Flimsy design. Doesn't stick into wall outlet very well, I had to plug it back in several times when the weight of the battery had pulled it out far enough that it was not getting power. Nowhere in the description does it say it works with the BP-2L13 battery, although it does.

I use this as my primary charger.
Good:
It is 220 compatible and comes with a euro adapter and 12v plug.
Bad
It does not hold the battery in place unless you turn it the right way. It probably can not be used in a car or boat where things moved nor can you use it unless you can make sure gravity holds the battery in.
How hard can it be to make something that holds the batter. I'll probably add some velcro or something.

This will not charge my after market battery only the stock Canon battery, and I really wonder if it is fully charing the stock battery because it goes green so fast. For the after market battery it says it is fully charged but the camera does not agree.This really doesn't hold the battery in place. Gravity will hold it. Does what it's supposed to do, and it's a lot cheaper than the Canon factory charger. Doesn't hold the battery that tightly, though, so you have to make sure that the contacts are holding.
Good for travel, though, and it comes with a plug adaptor for European plugs.

I like that this charger comes with a adapter for the car and for travel in Europe. It is a bit larger than the Cannon charger, and the battery feels less secure when charging, but it charges quickly and the added adapters make this a worthy purchase.

I use this for charging my Pearstone NB-2L22 batteries, which I use in my Canon VIXIA HV40. I love this charger because it is so tiny, and even comes with a car adapter for travel. Works fine, although it's not fast.
