- This device is designed for DTV tuner testing, providing all the necessary signal control for testing ATSC compliant tuners and receivers for HDTV.
- Emulation of Multiple Formats
- The RF output on this device can be set to emulate 8 VSB, 64, and 256 QAM modulation formats.
- Variable Modulation Frequency
- The modulation frequency can be set from 50MHz to 900MHz, covering the entire VHF and UHF spectrum.
- Adjustable Output Levels
- This device offers adjustable output levels ranging from -100 to +13dBm (50 ohms) and is also adjustable with 0.1dB resolution. This allows for input sensitivity testing.
- BER Measurement
- A pseudo-random (PN) generator and a BER counter are built into the instrument. These devices offer facilitation of BER measurements in one unit.
- External or Internal Modulation
- This unit can be modulated internally (2 built-in test patterns; color bars and ramp) or externally (DVB-ASI or SPI input).
- Remote Instrument Controls
- The QVGA display provides a set of instrument controls capable of being managed via an Ethernet connection.
- Japan System Compatibility
- This model works with the Japanese ATSC broadcasting system as well as North America.
