Apple 3-Year AppleCare for Mac Pro
The 3-Year AppleCare for Mac Pro from Apple gives you peace of mind by extending your coverage for three (3) years of both telephone support and service coverage. This provides you with expert assistance, global repair coverage for your Mac Pro, web-based resources and diagnostic tools.
AppleCare can be purchased at any time within your first year of Mac ownership. It must be registered with Apple prior to the expiration of the system's factory warranty.
AppleCare can only be purchased by customers residing in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Spain, Switzerland, the United States, and the United Kingdom. - Apple Certified Repairs
- This warranty extends the standard single year of protection to three years. Repairs are performed by Apple-certified technicians using genuine Apple parts. For those who travel abroad, feel secure with a global repair plan for your Mac Pro.
- Telephone Support
- The standard complimentary 90-day phone support is extended to a 3-year plan, giving you one number to call for all your technical questions.
- Web-Based Support
- You'll have access to web-based support for your computer, allowing you to quickly diagnose and solve problems.
| Warranty | The AppleCare Protection Plan covers your Mac, AirPort Card, AirPort Base Station, and Apple RAM purchased for your Mac. It also covers an Apple Cinema Display if it is purchased on the same receipt as your computer. |

This is the same product that Apple would like to sell to you for $250 on their website. All you are buying is the serial number for the AppleCare Agreement - regardless of where you purchase it you will still need to register it with Apple to activiate your warranty. The activation process is far more of a pain than it should be for a company like Apple, but that has nothing to do with B&H. Great product from a great store!

If you ever used Apple Care you know they are the best support in the Industry. The phone support, and hardware support that you get with this pkg. is really a very good value and it also maintains resale value for your equipment. it's much easier to resale (not that anyone would ever want to part with a mac!) a machine with a warranty that one without... This plan gives you 3 years total of hardware AND software / Phone support! and at B&H prices, you just can't beat it!!! Averages out to less than 5 bucks a month over the 36 months of coverage! Tell me if that isn't a bargain!!

I can't say that I approve of Apple only providing a 1 year standard warranty on a $4000 computer and trying to charge [$] for Applecare. But I do like that B&H sells it for much cheaper than Apple. I think this is the Canadian version which is why it's cheaper than usual. Either way, I was able to register my Mac Pro so I'm fully satisfied.

Apple products although have a great life are sometimes prone to problems. I have used apple products for over 20 years and have experienced trouble twice. I have had over 15 computers. Each a newer generation replacing the older one. My first was a mac plus. I now invest in the 3 year applecare for my computers and monitors.

After years of using Mac products I had taken for granted the tempermental nature electronics and computer systems in general. However, given enough time and experience you soon learn that having a backup plan is priceless... however in the case of this product, its actually well priced. I use both a laptop MacBook Pro and a desktop MacPro and both are covered with the piece of mind this fantastic product brings. With both on-line support and in-person customer service by Mac Professionals, my equipment is not only well maintained, it is kept up to speed with the best product care money can buy. I will never "go without" on any mac product I purchase from now on!

I use this Mac Pro as a home computer but do some video editing and encoding. I replaced a very fast G5 but this Mac Pro's encoding times are just a fraction of the time my G5 took to encode. Managing my picture and music libraries also take just a fraction of the time. With 2 young kids I just don't have the time to tinker around on PC's anymore. This thing does exactly what I need it to do in minimal time. More time to spend with the kids. [...]
