GoPro Motorsports HERO Video Camera
The GoPro Motorsports HERO Video Camera mounts to just about any vehicle you can think of, promising a whole new video experience. The HERO features a shock and waterproof quick release housing that streamlines setting up, breaking down and moving the camera from one location to another. When you'd like to capture the driver's point of view you can mount the camera to your helmet. In addition, the included suction cup mount allows for windshield mounting of the camera which is perfect for recording the driver.
With an optional 2GB SD card the Motorsports HERO records up to 56 minutes of 512 x 384, 30fps video. Should you want to capture still images instead, the camera's "Photo Every 2 Seconds" mode records up to 1,945 action packed photos. When you're done recording, your video and still images can be shared with friends and family by uploading them to the Internet via the SD card. Conveniently, all of GoPro's HERO cameras are compatible with both Windows and Mac operating systems. The Good...
-Easy to mount to helmet.
-Video is reasonable quality for Youtube-type applications.
-Affordable
-Just pop the card into card reader to transfer files
-rugged and splashproof
The Bad...
-Can only use a small card so you run out of recording room fast.
-Hard to tell if it's on, even while staring hard to find the bliking light, which is a pain when it's stuck to your helmet.
-I've had much better video results from Olympus stylus 1050 SW...and that one is pretty much indestructable.
-unexpectadly 'crashed' and will not turn back on. sigh...better luck picking out the next cam.

not easy to turn on and off, difficult to see the blinking redlight that indicates that it's recording. However once you do figure it out the video is good. I had it for several months before i figured out how to use it and i'm pretty good with electronics. would be nice to have a remote control. that would make it easier.

This is a great camera for AutoX,road racing,or anything you can attach it to.I bought this for getting low angle video and pics on my car.The video quality is very good for such a small camera and its well worth the money.For less then [$]you really cant go wrong.A couple things i do think it needs as far as an upgrade is having an LCD display to help position the camera better.Better battery life and more storage would be nice too
