Bought it as a backup for my original battery for a upcoming Disney World trip.
Works great so far and camcorder shows 400 minutes recording remaining. Charges in less than 2 hours.
It is quite big and long comparing to the original battery. You may need a deeper/larger pounch.

Bought this battery as a backup to OEM. The only difference I can see is the sticker on the bottom. Oh, and the price... half of the OEM price! Great buy!

This is a great value. I bought a smaller battery at [...] for $70 That was a rip off but I needed it in a crunch. I returned that one and ordered a few of these. Any on camera battery has a limited charge life but this is a great battery at a good price. Keep several on hand for your on location projects.

I was waiting for the original JVC battery packs to be available online, then I found this exact substitute instead. Got them right away as I was about to begin a project and the camera comes with only one battery.
This batteries lasts exactly the same time as the originals but costs a lot less.
The great thing would be to have a bigger battery pack in order to get more recording time.

This battery lasted much longer than expected. It was used for underwater video and I was able to do several dives a day without having to recharge or open the case.

I use this battery as a necessary backup to the original, because the JVC HD Camcorder is so power hungry. The original battery only yields about 30 minutes of record time. This one beats it by a little. I now carry 8 batteries with me if I am doing a 1 day shoot (covers me for approx. 4 hours of total record time).
This battery is a LOT less expensive than the one from JVC, though it is rated at 2100 mAh -- slightly less than the JVC battery, rated at 2190 mAh. Even so, I have 2 of the JVC batteries and 6 of the Pearstone batteries, and the Pearstone's are consistently better (longer lasting, by about 10 to 15 minutes).
