Memory is memory is memory, right? Well, I chose this for a new media PC in my family room and running cool and quiet was important. I chose this memory first for price (cheap!) and secondly for low dissipation to put a light load on the case thermal solution. So far so good - even when i stress the memory with a heavy duty load hammering multiple pages it runs cooler than the similar DDR3 in my main PC.
