Konica Minolta pagepro 5650EN Monochrome Laser Printer
The pagepro 5650EN from Konica Minolta is engineered for superior performance with output speeds of up to 45 pages per minute and a maximum resolution of 1200 x 1200dpi. Its versatility is enhanced with network connectivity, direct printing and PageScope management tools.
This dynamo is designed for a workteam with large printing demands and boasts Emperon printer architecture and an advanced 500MHz processor to keep print jobs moving at a fast pace. It has an 1800-sheet maximum input capacity and a huge printing potential of up to 200,000 pages per month. That's a lot of letters, invoices, flyers, reports and other business documents.
- Professional Quality
- With an output of 1200 x 1200dpi resolution and a print speed up to 45 pages per minute , the 5050EN brings crisp black text, fine lines, and clear details to documents. Graphics are rendered in rich shades, from the lightest gray to the deepest black.
- Network Connectivity
- The pagepro 5650EN has a built-in Gigabit Ethernet interface, opening a direct line of network communication to PCs, Macs and Linux workstations. Its multi-protocol support includes TCP/IP v6, IPsec and SSL for the latest in network and security standards.
- Direct Printing
- The pagepro 5650EN has a USB 1.1 Host Port for direct printing PDF, XPS, JPEG, and TIFF files from a USB flash drive (not included) without a computer or additional software. The included PageScope Direct Print utility lets users drag and drop files for printing.
- High Volume Printing Options
- More than fast, the pagepro 5650EN boasts a robust duty cycle of up to 200,000 pages per month. The printer features a 150-sheet multipurpose cassette, a 550-sheet input cassette, and a 70-sheet face-up output tray that is designed to handle thick paper stocks and special print runs.
- Flexible Productivity Options
- The printer will accept up to 2 additional 550-sheet cassettes (optional) to handle a total input of 1800 sheets, saving time in paper restocking. It also accepts an optional 500-sheet Stacker/Sorter unit that keeps multiple documents in order, and an Automatic Duplexer for convenient two-sided printing. Other options include a 40GB Hard Disk Drive to support direct print and secure print services, additional Memory Modules, and a Compact Flash Drive Adapter.

- The printer's innovative InfoLine-style display located atop the Front Panel clearly shows printer readiness at a glance and provides a visual readout of toner levels, print job status, and offline conditions.
- Wide Variety of Media
- The pagepro 5650EN handles an assortment of business media ranging from postcards to legal-size paper. It will also print on labels, envelopes, transparencies and even banner paper up to 35.4". Using a variety of paper-feed options, workgroups can load different media into different cassettes for versatile document production.
- PostScript Support
- Support for widely-used emulations, including PCL 6, PostScript 3, PDF and XPS, seamless desktop publishing and printing applications. The use of a PostScript laser printer can significantly reduce the computer's workload involved in printing documents, transferring the work of rendering PostScript images from the computer to the printer.
- Easy Setup and Maintenance
- Helpful administrative software is provided to support quick and easy setup, plus more complex network installations. There's just one user-replaceable all-in-one toner cartridge that installs conveniently from the top.
- Powerful Software Suite
- Included with the 5650EN is PageScope software that makes it easy to scan and store files, search and retrieve documents, create and update one-touch dialing lists, manage print jobs, maintain user authentication accounts, and print with desktop drag-and-drop simplicity. PageScope applications empowers users to, check status, change settings, and integrate new devices into existing enterprise networks.

I use this printer to print PDF files of documents that are usually 100 pages. It is one of the few that will automatically draw legal/letter as required. With this high volume of printing it is good to know the ink will last quit a while so my costs are down.
The only reason I rated it at 4 not 5 is that the trays do not hold 500 pages but that is not usually a requirement so I fill them more often. I love that the paper loads from the front.
It runs quietly after it starts up which is a big plus and the papers are printed quickly - a bigger plus. The quality of print is great too - helps me look more professional.
