I needed a produt to wirelessly display VGA, SVGA, etc. graphics from a laptop to a projector or LCD TV. This seemed to fit the bill, at least from the advertisement.
First thing to do is not to use the provided drivers on the accompanied CD. Instead, download the latest drivers and software from the IOGear website. I had to learn this the hard way.
This product works quite well with MOST laptops except the very old ones such as the older laptops with Intel M CPU. It does not display HDMI (HD quality) but it never claims to be capable. Otherwise, VGA graphics are displayed smoothly and accurately on software running on Windows platform. I don't know if it is compatible with Apple hardware.

This product is good for simply displaying what is on your laptop screen to a large plasma or LCD TV. The problems start when you try to stream video. It will stream a small window of video but the minute you try to click on the area to enlarge the video to the full screen it freezes up and does not work. As a result my husband could not use it for his intended use--Microsoft Flight Simulator--as he is taking flying lessons and this game is supposed to be helpful. No one is able to figure out why you cannot stream video in a full screen format using this device. But to just show your laptop up there or a small window of video it works just fine and I would recommend it for that.

Comments about Iogear Wireless USB to VGA Kit:
Good signal strength, just the units are a little bulky. I am an elec. engineer, for those high frequencies, circuits should be very tiny, I feel a little shocked by the relatively huge size comparing with what we have in the lab.
Bottom line: good in performance large in size.

Comments about Iogear Wireless USB to VGA Kit:
Manufacturer's connectivity is totally exaggerated. Be sure to read the specifications closely, but even at that the range is a total stretch. I would NOT recommend this product to anyone - you're better off buying 50' of VGA and running it up the wall.

Comments about Iogear Wireless USB to VGA Kit:
Currently use to clone PC monitor to a Toshiba HD LCD TV. It is easy to set up but when you are viewing video on the TV it is very latent. It does not really meet our requirements and we are likely to return the product.

Used at our Church to enable pastor to utilize powerpoint from a laptop next to him. Projector 15' away, no messy cords. Very nice aesthetically. We could not be more satisfied. [...]

We connect a laptop to a projector mounted in the ceiling via the Iogear wireless. It was an easy installation and works with Windows 7 after the software and firmware are updated via Iogear's website. Very good product.

Comments about Iogear Wireless USB to VGA Kit:
Purchased to use with a mobile projector for seminars. Allows computer to be near person speaking. I forgot that audio is not carried by VGA cable. Showing video clips with sound requires running an audio cable from computer to projector. Works perfectly with PowerPoint presentations. Video clips made by Windows Movie Maker show signs of hesitation but are not distracting to watch.

This device is very cool. Plug it into your laptop and your presentation is on the screen in a flash. No messy cables.
The one small annoyance is the requirement to install drivers, which takes a few minutes. Plan ahead to install on all of your presenter's PCs before your meeting begins.
