The Sanyo PLV-Z3000 offers a host of advanced features that will enhance your viewing (and operating) pleasure. It can lens-shift vertically equivalent to 3 screens, and horizontally equivalent to 2 screens. This means you can place the projector off the midline of the room, if need be, and still see a normal image in the middle of the projection screen.
The whisper-quiet design of its large aperture, low-noise Sirocco cooling fan, at 19 dB, is quieter than leaves rustling in the wind.
With its short focus and 2x zoom lens you can project a widescreen (16:9) 100" image from as far as 20' (6.1 meters) to as close as 9.8' (3 meters). A lens system that sophisticated should be protected. Fortunately an electronic shutter slides over it automatically when you turn the projector off.
And the PLV-Z3000 offers an industry first. Its 5:5 pull-down mode allows watching television broadcasts and other high definition broadcast source contents as if they were presented in a movie theater.

Comments about Sanyo PLV-Z3000 120Hz Full HD 1080p LCD Front Projector:
This projector is a replacement for my original (different brand) which died. It was less than 1/3 the cost, MUCH easier to set up and provided good quality images out of the box. My installation has a large (2.7) throw ratio, and this projector handled it very well. I have had it for 1 week, and think that it will be easy to tweak for my optimum settings.

Comments about Sanyo PLV-Z3000 120Hz Full HD 1080p LCD Front Projector:
The PLV-Z3000 is my second Sanyo home theatre projector. I was pleased with the performance of my Z2 and now this Z3000 features considerable improvements.
My application has the projector located directly above the seating area; so, I wanted it to be as quiet as possible. The Z3000 boast a low 19db in eco-mode... and it is certainly quiet! For the price, Sanyo seems to be the one manufacturer concerned with fan noise. The only current production model projector I found to compare is the Mitsubishi HC series; however, they are significantly more expensive.
The reason I give the Z3000 four stars, is there are competitors (e.g. Mitsubishi) which include more features such as power lens shift. The Z3000 only has manual vertical and horizontal lens shift... which is fine by me, but some of you may desire that feature.
All the features you'd expect from a 1080p 120Hz home theatre projector are included in the Z3000: 1200 lumen brightness (non-eco-mode), good throw distance combined with robust zoom, excellent preset and customizable image controls, plus did I mention it is quiet!!
The only somewhat disappointing aspect is the physical size of the unit... it is significantly large than my Z2.
Oh yes, I have to also say: unless you're only planning to watch blu-ray or use it as a computer monitor, there are no "communication companies" (e.g. FIOS, Communist-cast, AT&T) who are broadcasting in full 1080p... they only push 1080i at 59-60Hz. Someday, hopefully they will catch up to the Sanyo PLV-Z3000!!
