The TRCB069 Travel Angel C-Series Carbon Fiber Tripod with B-00 Ballhead is a sturdy, high-quality tripod that uses 8-layer, 2nd generation carbon fiber technology for its leg construction. This 8x tubing is 60% stronger overall than conventional carbon fiber tripods. In addition, magnesium is used for die-cast parts. Despite its lower weight, magnesium is more rigid than aluminum, and has the same strength per volume.
Travel Angel tripods are easy-to-carry so you'll want them with you at all times. Travel Angel's unique 180 degree foldover design allows them to be folded into a compact package that can easily fit into backpacks or luggage. However, when you need quick setup, excellent maximum height and a rigid, stable support, Benro Travel Angels are impressive performers.
Travel Angel tripods feature individual leg angle adjustments, anti-rotation leg design, a reversible center column with spring loaded weight hook, anti dust and moisture rubber leg lock grips.

I am a semi pro photographer with a passion for foreign landscapes and sunsets. Just back from Hawaii and Southern California, I need durability, lightness, compactness, and versatility ... this tripod has it all. With a maximum height of 58 inches (147 cm), this tripod folds down to a tidy 13.4 inches (34 cm). The carbon fibre unit is very light (1.6 lbs) with tensile strength and a maximum load-bearing of 13.2 lbs (6 kg). This tripod could easily be priced well above the midrange [$] at which it is sold. Two thumbs up.

Read carefully!! Each leg has 5 sections and they require lots of tightening. Ball head wasn't sturdy enough for my Nikon d100 and wide angle lens. If quick set up is not important to you and you have a smaller camera this tripod may be for you. It was light and well made. Also, it folds down pretty small for hiking.

Took it on a trip to the Grand Canyon. It was lightweight and compact. Great for hiking, use with a wide angle lenses.
Not recommended for telephoto lenses. The head that came with the kit was a bit unstable, would recommend getting a different head.
