The Benro A-068M8 Travel Angel Aluminum Tripod with BH-00 Ballhead is a professional-quality tripod that has lightweight, highest quality aluminum alloy legs for top performance at an economical price. In addition, magnesium is used for all die-cast parts. Despite its lower weight, magnesium is more rigid than aluminum, and has the same strength per volume.
Travel Angel tripods are easy-to-carry so you'll want them with you at all times. Travel Angel's unique 180 degree foldover design allows them to be collapsed into a compact package that can easily fit into backpacks or luggage. However, when you need quick setup, excellent maximum height and a rigid, stable support, Benro Travel Angels are impressive performers.
Travel Angel tripods feature individual leg angle adjustments, anti-rotation leg design, a reversible center column with spring loaded weight hook, anti-dust and moisture rubber leg lock grips.

- Things that are great about it: Flexibility and stability of the tripod: It easily stands everywhere(I placed it on a rock in the middle of a river bed and I had no reason to be afraid it will slide into the water), even it is relatively lightweight. And of course the advantages of a ball head.
- Things that aren't so great about it: The screw to fix the position of the head is not well positioned if shooting vertical. But its a minor issue

The Benro A-068M8 tripod is smaller and not as robust as I'd hoped and expected, but, it does an adequate job of holding my D300 with 70-300 zoom. It is not very suitable for my 200-300 zoom, though, as vibration is difficult to avoid. However, it is compact and suitable to be taken along on my motorcycle and provide adequate support for long lens shots. I would recommend it for general use but not particularly for extremely long lenses. The BH-00 ballhead could be more robust and fluid, but, it works.

Perfect for my Nikon D80 with an 18-270 lens when travelling. It is compact so it fits in my carry-on bag and light enough that I don't notice it, yet does the job I need it to do.

This tripod is compact and sturdy and easy to use. Which is at least everything I was looking for in a tripod. Only complaint is it is heavier then I expected.

I am minoring in photography at the Savannah College of Art and Design and I use this tripod every time I go to shoot. The tripod comes with a nice, compact case to store it in when it's not in use. It folds up pretty small too. The adjustable ballhead is nice too when you have to tweak the angle a little bit.

So far I have used the tripod once, it was quick to setup and provided a lightweight, compact and stable platform to take low light shots of the Brooklyn Bridge.
I am also planning to take it on trips to the Pacific North-West and the Grand Canyon as it's compact enough to fit in my carry on suitcase. Something that I couldn't do with my main tripod.

Just received the Angle Tripod a couple weeks ago & am very pleased with the weight, sturdy construction & flexability. I am leaving tomorrow from SE IA to Glacier Nat.Park & am confident in my choise for a good hiking tripod. I do whish it had come w/ the spikes for the rough terain. I think its a great product & at a good price point.

This small tripod gets you out of a jam and functions rather well, not the best but for what it is (light and easy to travel with) it really serves it purpose. If you need to travel and don't want to carry a bulky tripod yo might consider this one.

How hard can a tripod be to use, that it would need written instructions?
After years of experience with larger tripods (of different brands), there were a couple of movements on this one that were not obvious to me, so I had to read the users manual that came with it. It's a small manual--but just so you know, that if you're expecting it to be just like the big tripods only smaller, it isn't. the legs fold up and down for compactness and those have locks at the top and then the standard style screw out leg extensions ...
I'll get use to it--I'm glad it has a mini bubble-level attached...
It also has a center pul down hook on which I have hug a sandbag so it won't tip over outside in my yard in the wind. If out hiking you won't want to carry a sandbag, but other items will work--camera bag etc...
