The Benro A-069M8 Travel Angel Tripod with B-00 Ballhead is a professional-quality tripod that has lightweight, highest quality aluminum alloy legs for top performance at an economical price. In addition, magnesium is used for all die-cast parts. Despite its lower weight, magnesium is more rigid than aluminum, and has the same strength per volume.

Travel Angel tripods are easy-to-carry so you'll want them with you at all times. Travel Angel's unique 180 degree foldover design allows them to be folded into a compact package that can easily fit into backpacks or luggage. However, when you need quick setup, excellent maximum height and a rigid, stable support, Benro Travel Angels are impressive performers.

Travel Angel tripods feature individual leg angle adjustments, anti-rotation leg design, a reversible center column with spring loaded weight hook, anti dust and moisture rubber leg lock grips.

5-section legs
Includes single action ballhead to match the size of the tripod, with calibrated panning base, locked down by a single lock-down lever, and a dual quick release locking system

Used for our photo trip in Colorado Gunnison area lase week (9/21-9/27). Hold my Nikno d700, telephoto and super wide angle lenses. Easy to pack into my suitcase or bag. Stability is OK if using remote shutter release (cable). May be stroger model A-169 a better choice.

Comments about Benro A-069M8 Travel Angel Tripod with B-00 Ballhead:

Purchased this tripod for hiking and backpacking. It did well. Half the weight of my regular tripod, it was compact enough to attach to my pack and didn't weigh a ton. It's somewhat finicky because it has a lot of sections to deal with but It's not that big of a deal. Most of the time I hardly ever extend the legs all the way out anyhow. It was windy a heck one day and you can tell the tripod does not do so well in this circumstance but when a trip is more about hiking rather than photography you can't go wrong. Seems well made. Can't afford the titanium version but for the price the slight weight increase seems like a better trade off.

Comments about Benro A-069M8 Travel Angel Tripod with B-00 Ballhead:

I ordered this tripod for a two-week long motorcycle trip, where minimal gear and storage space was available. That meant not being able to bring my massive Manfrotto 055CXPRO3. I knew I had to compromise on size and stability. But, I was actually expecting less stability than this tripod offers. It's surprisingly usable in a no-wind environment, and it's better if you can leave the final one or two leg sections not-extended. What's more, is that the small folded size means that it fits into a small hiking backpack, or a motorcycle tankbag. I'd certainly recommend this tripod for those who are tight on space.

The two major downsides for me are:
-5 twist-lock leg sections means it takes forever to deploy and fold-up.
                    -Stability isn't fantastic.

But, the MAJOR upside is that it folds small. Being able to bring a small, non-perfect tripod on a hike or on vacation is better than not being able to bring a tripod at all. And that's the magic of this little thing.

I use this tripod mainly for bird photography, with my K-7(with grip) and 300mm, 400mm tele primes.
I like its light weight and high quality finish. The legs extend & lock smoothly. It has a convenient feature to lock 2 legs and allow one to move freely for placement on uneven ground. The ball head is excellent and has a smooth motion, locks quickly and stays in place. Compact and folds in reverse resulting in smaller carry size.
Slightly costlier than its equivalants, but the quality justifies it.
I would recommend a camera remote if you use a tripod.
The weight hook at the bottom is difficult to extract

Very good Tripod for out door work, incredibly small when is folded, and not a bad size when its out.

Not for a large lens. Having said that I us it all the time with my EF 70-200 2.8 IS. and it holds up good. Sow its your call really...

Comments about Benro A-069M8 Travel Angel Tripod with B-00 Ballhead:

This tripod combines portability and stability, making this a great relatively lightweight travel tripod.
When fully extended, I would not expect to be able to take extra long exposures due to the thin legs on the last extension of the tripod. However, it provides more than adequate stability for almost all types of photography in normal conditions.
I would definitely recommend this tripod. It's compact size when closed is ideal for packing in a carry-on bag onto a plane. Even though it is small, it does expand quite high if needed.
The only negative on this unit is that it requires a wrench (included) to attach the ballhead plate to the camera. This can be inconvenient.

Comments about Benro A-069M8 Travel Angel Tripod with B-00 Ballhead:

Tripod is very compact which I expect will be a plus when traveling. Tripod is easy to set up (can loosen all the locking rings at once), but does take a little more time to retract things when done. I was getting good stability from the legs when locked down and with some extra weight on the center column hook the unit was even more stable. You need to remember this is a travel tripod and not sturdy enough to use in bad weather...I don't think it would tip over but there is some flex in the lower legs because of their reduced size (5 segment) which I would expect to cause movement or vibration.

Benro also provides a nice case with a shoulder strap, though I will probably leave that at home most of the time. I plan to just attach the tripod to the side of my camera bag

I did notice some creep when using medium weight lenses (24-105 F4L & 70-200 F4L). Even with the tension on max there would be some sag on downward angles. I would not use this for any long exposures. For perpendicular shots the head proved less prone to sag. I will be replacing the ballhead with something a little more solid. The quick release on the ballhead uses an Allan screw to tighten it to the camera body. I'd like to see something that could be tightened by hand (just give me something to grip onto and I'd be happy).

If I could buy the tripod without the ballhead that's what I'd do given the opportunity.
