These will be the last Altec Lansing speakers I ever buy. My last pair had a constant hiss coming from the speakers at all times and these have the exact same problem. Logitech will be my only speaker brand from now on, never had anything but perfect results with their products.

Not audiophile, but not $300+ either! Handles the compromises of a small 2.0 system well. Acceptable bass, decent mids and highs. I use them mainly for background music and they are good enough. Also OK for the few games I play, no thunder but I generally don't want my desk shaking. They are a little bigger than I thought they would be, though. All plastic, but decent build quality for the money.

Altec Lansing does it again. These are great little desktop speakers. They don't take up much space and sound much larger and more expensive than they are. I use them for my computer, but they'd be great for use with an MP3 player too.

I'm using these speakers as my primary home entertainment audio. Mostly listening to music and watching movies on the laptop. They are a huge step up from most computer speakers and at a very reasonable price. They have great sound quality, even as you crank the volume up.
Nice design too.
No complaints whatsoever.
