Thsi is my first custom camera bracket and the Kirk is a winner. It fits my camera perfectly with good access to all connectors. It weighs next to nothing and works great with my ball head.

Didn't really know how much I would like this bracket, until I put it on my D90 camera. Makes switching from landscape to portrait mode on the tri-pod a breeze. It's lightweight,and permanently stays on my camera. It's a bit pricey, but well worth it.

I was looking for a good L-Bracket for my camera, something that would stand up to the some very rugged use. The BL-D90 is the perfect solution, it holds the camera secure on the ballhead and yet I can still access the battery.

Solid, light and fits perfectly. Access to all the connectors, battery and memory card without having to remove it. The best way to switch from landscape to portrait orientation. Keeps the center of gravity over the center of the tripod.

Needed this becuase I frequently shoot vertical shots and the ball head just doesn't cut it. Easy to attach and works great. Terrific price. Wish I had bought this a long tome ago.

Have one for my battery grip and one without. Facilitates use of tripod after outfitting with Arca-Swiss plates, and especially makes vertical shooting from tripod stable. Considered Really Right Stuff bracket, but use lots of Kirk products and find them excellent and a bit more value-priced!

Using the L bracket is so much easier than flopping the camera on its side to shoot vertically. The fact that the camera continues to sit directly above the tripod provides for much better stability and a greater ease of use. Sturdy but relatively light in weight.

I was excited to get this product, it came in I opened it up and went to put it on my Nikon D90 w/extended battery pack and it would not fit. So to use this product I have to remove the battery pack. I did and when mounted to the camera and put on my tripod it was very stable in both directions.

So the bottom line is if you want to use this on your camera do not expect use that nicely positioned shutter release button on the battery pack when the camera is turn 90 degrees. Which I thought would be the great thing about this product. Well maybe Kirk will come out with one that fits with the battery pack.

This is my first dSLR and first L-bracket. I was amazed at how light the bracket is and how close it fits to and around the D90. All of the ports on the side of the D90 are still accessible, so the bracket has become a permanent fixture on the camera.

If you've never tried a bracket, you can't go back.
Much steadier and easier to use than a camera rotator.

I leave it permanently on the camera - it's very light weight, and non-interfering. It provides a twist-free connection between the camera and the tripod, with the ability to quickly switch between portrait and landscape.
