Comments about Kirk BL-D90G Compact L-Bracket for Nikon D80 & D90 with MB-D80 Camera:
Only problem is the same one all the others have. If you have a Blackrapid strap, the screw point is right in the middle, so you have to unscrew it to mount. Or get a small QR clamp. If they just put it on either end it wouldn't be a problem.
Otherwise works as advertised.

Comments about Kirk BL-D90G Compact L-Bracket for Nikon D80 & D90 with MB-D80 Camera:
Very handy when switching quickly between landscape and portrait shots, without losing your reference points... would have given 5 stars if not for the high cost, but you get what you pay for! Only other issue is with my Zeikos battery grip, which does not have a solid connection with the D90 body, resulting in some instability when in portrait mode - not the fault of the L-bracket. Great product and have bought another set for my D700.

Comments about Kirk BL-D90G Compact L-Bracket for Nikon D80 & D90 with MB-D80 Camera:
Just screw it onto your camera and leave it on forever. Really no need to hassle with it after because it's light enough that the extra weight is negligible when taking it off the tripod and shooting away. The extra accessory mount is very handy for using with the Black Rapid straps that screw in under the camera. Also, easy access to the connections on the side of the camera is a definite plus, especially for use with a cable release. =)

Comments about Kirk BL-D90G Compact L-Bracket for Nikon D80 & D90 with MB-D80 Camera:
I needed an L-Bracket for when I had the MB-D80 attached as I find myself using it more and more often. This Kirk bracket is nice and solid and tightens down nicely to the camera and grip. No wiggle or wobble, and it clamps down to the ball head just as tightly. I am confident that my camera is safe, and I appreciate the ability to quickly switch from portrait to landscape without having to remove the grip.

I couldn't wait to use this. I was so happy to see that the money I spent was well worth it. It's very sturdy & machined perfectly to my D80. Fits like a glove. It does add a little more weight to the camera but it's expected from a solid metal L-bracket.

Comments about Kirk BL-D90G Compact L-Bracket for Nikon D80 & D90 with MB-D80 Camera:
Fantastic! This was recommended to me by the good folks at [...]for use with my Nikon D90 & MB-D80 battery grip. It connects seamlessly & securely to my tripod & monopod heads (both RRS with quick-release clamps). I can switch from portrait to landscape orientation in three seconds and the weight of the camera is always centered over the support system. The tolerances are excellent with zero "play" when locked-in. I've shaken the camera vigorously (and upside down) when locked in and I have zero concerns about failure of the bracket. My only gripe is that the width of the clamp on the camera bottom does make it a little tougher to grip the camera in portrait mode (it "pushes" the camera further away from your palm which in effect shortens your fingers), and it adds a few ounces in weight, but this is a fair trade-off for the obvious boost in functionality vs. drop-notches & tripods falling over on uneven terrain. I leave this on my camera 90% of the time (unless I know for sure I'm going hand-held.) This stuff isn't cheap but it's hands-down the best.

I use this bracket on my D90 with the Zeikos ZE-NBG90 Power Battery Grip. The bracket is a great solid fit and allows easy access to the ports on the side of the camera.

This bracket is nice. I just leave it on the camera and can't even tell it's there until I need it.
