The Iogear Mobile GearPower is a portable battery that charges just about any mobile device anywhere - no outlet or charger needed. This high capacity battery can power up your cell phone or MP3 player for up to 2 full charges . The Smart LED capacity display lets you know when your device is ready for use.
The Mobile GearPower has a lifetime of up to 800 rechargeable cycles. In addition, the battery features short-circuit, over-charge, and temperature protection. The 5 included connectors ensure that no matter what portable device needs charging the GearPower's got you covered.

Simple to use with single port for both recharging the pack and powering your mobile device. Very bright blue led indicators, but they only light briefly when checking charge level or continuously while recharging the pack. No gloss rubberized finish. I have not had the product long enough to speak to longevity. Cord is ~28 inches long, can get messy in pocket or purse.

Positives . . . I use the GearGower unit to continuously charge phone on long trans-Atlantic flgihts. Works very well for that purpose. Also good for extended times away from car or wall charging. Have also used it to recharge a GPS device while in remote areas like National Parks.
Negative . . . The built-in dual purpose mini USB input/output used to recharge the GearPower and also connect your device charging cable should have been engineered as a standard USB jack. That way you wouldn't need the bag of cable adapters that are included in the package to connect your devices. Most devices come with standard USB chaging/data cables that wouldn't require fumbling around with the adapters.

Very small and compact, comes with more tips than I need and I have an iPod Touch and a Palm Pre Plus. Gives my phone a complete charge with some juice left.
Other reviewer did not need to purchase an iPhone cable. Just use your iPhone cable and the reverse usb tip. That is how I hook up my iPod Touch.
For the price, good value, but one of the other battery packs with 8000 mah has 4 times the power and costs less than 4 times. So that will be my next purchase for when I'm going on longer backcountry trips. I have field guides on my iPod Touch that I want to access in the field.

The Battery does recharge my IPhone and does allow me to use it while charging. The only bad part is that I needed to get an extra iPhone cable. There should be an adapter for the iPhone with this product.

this battery is a good back up to have. gives u a decent charge (depending on what u are charging) and for such a low price. compared to a richardsolo with out using them and this wins out.
tip dont judge the remaining battery life by LED lights often it will show only one but will continue to charge you stuff
