One of my 2 usb ports had stopped working on my laptop. I like to use a wireless mouse, so after I plugged that in there was nothing to plug in my other stuff. The touchpad had also stopped working so if I plugged in another item I had no curser. This is a nice, small usb hub that solved my problem. I was thinking I might have to buy a new computer, but now I can keep my mouse plugged in and also have my itouch or another usb item plugged in. My touchpad also mysteriouly started working again. Love the fact that the cords are short and attached to the hub. Love this item.

USB hub has three ports plus a mini USB cable built in. I have used the mini USB port to charge my iPhone with external battery as well as a 250GB USB powered hard drive simultaneously!
