Pinnacle Studio MovieBox Ultimate USB Video Capture System
The Studio MovieBox Ultimate USB Video Capture System from Pinnacle is a USB video capture device with analog and digital inputs. The hardware is bundled with the Pinnacle Studio video editing software suite for Windows.
The hardware connects via USB 2.0 and features composite, S-Video, and FireWire input. Pinnacle Studio is a user-friendly editing suite, making this an excellent choice for capturing and editing home movies on your computer.
- Powerful Editing Software
- The included Pinnacle Studio software is powerful enough to work with still photos, music, narration and many types of video while retaining an ease of use that appeals to home users. It features tools to create titles, effects, and transitions and can even help to improve footage taken with handheld cameras via the Pan-and-Zoom feature.
- Analog and DV Video Capture
- The capture device features composite and S-Video connections for input of analog video and audio. It also features a 6-Pin FireWire-400 port for communication with digital DV camcorders.
- iPod and PSP Output
- Pinnacle Studio features tools to output video in formats that are compatible with popular personal media player such as the Apple iPod with video and the Sony PSP. This lets you take the video you create with you wherever you go.

I use the MovieBox to put my video from my older, non-digital camera into my computer. It was very, very easy to install and use. I would recommend this product to any one not wanting to spend the money on a digital video camera.

I used this to transfer video from an old Sony analog camcorder. The hardware worked perfectly, as did the software as far as the transfer goes.
However, while I do think the software is quality with lots of options and tools it isn't very beginner-user friendly. Just to get the video from the transfer point to a DVD was something like 20 steps. I believe after I do it about 20-30 times I will be like a pro at it but, it may take me 6 months to a year to get that 20-30 times under my belt.
The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 3 stars is because, like I said after I use it more and often enough I will get the hang of it and I will be able to utilize more of the power and tools of the software.
I would buy it again though, without a doubt.
