This product is excellent at controlling the level of lighting that gets to your monitor from the top and sides. It can be removed easily and collapses into multiple pieces for storage, but I leave it on all the time. It has an access door at the top to facilitate the use of a colorimeter. Well thought out!

It does it's intended job but assembly is kind of awkward when compared to LaCie's hoods which is much easier to take off and put back on. But then, the LaCie requires careful positioning of the Velcro adhesive strips. The access door for the calibration sensor is a great feature. No real complaints.
