The Boston Acoustic BT1100 Powered Subwoofer is designed for use in A/V cabinets or front theater stage applications. The width of the BT1100 is a standard component size of 17.5 inches to allow for easy installation into A/V cabinetry. Die-cast 'finger holds' positioned at the front of the speaker enclosure provide easy installation in tight cabinet spaces, supplied neoprene pads prevent scratching and allow for smooth slide-in positioning of the speakers. All cable terminals and controls are recessed at the rear of the speaker.
The BT1100 features a 12" DCD cast-aluminum frame woofer with a 2" voice coil. It's driven by a powerful 300 watt amplifier, and controlled by Boston Acoustic's proprietary BassTrac circuitry. Speaker level, line level, and LFE inputs provide connectivity to a wide range of audio systems. A front-mounted volume control combines with adjustments for phase and crossover point on the rear panel.
The bass of the subwoofer is vented through a 3.5" tall slot located at the lower front of the cabinet. In cabinet installations, the BT1100 can sit directly on the floor, isolating the subwoofer from the cabinet eliminating vibration. Bass vents into the room via the cabinet toe-kick. This eliminates the necessity for speaker grills at the bottom of the cabinet. Once installed in your system, the BT1100 should provide you with years of listening enjoyment.
