The Litepanels MDVAP-S is an adapter plate for the Micro on-camera LED light. This adapter system converts the Litepanels Micro for usage with Sony 7.2VDC DV Lithium-ion batteries.

When using this light with four double A batteries the light loses punch as the batteries run down. It doesn't take long for the drop in output to be noticeable. Now the light can run for hours at full strength and the money I save on throw away batteries will pay for it in no time. The battery adapter should have come standard with the light from Litepanels.

I have the fortune of having 2 Sony batteries for my camera. When I discovered I could use one to power my Litepanel light it was a no brainer. I always have the spare battery with me. I don't always have four AA batteries.
