The VideoCaddy Golf Cart Mount is intended for golfers who want to record their swing but don't want to drag a tripod around. By attaching The VideoCaddy and a camcorder to their golf cart or pull cart any golfer can work on improving their game. The mount attaches to the cart's steering wheel column, canopy post, or any solid object that is able to bear the weight of the mount and a camcorder.
Not just for golfers The VideoCaddy is great for many different uses where a tripod just won't do or isn't practical. This ingenious tripod alternative works well for anyone looking to attach their camera, camcorder, or other device with a 1/4" - 20 thread mount to most flat or round objects. Adding to The VideoCaddy's appeal would be the level bubble for obtaining accuracy, the locking head, and the removable camera mount for easy attachment of the intended device.

Comments about The VideoCaddy Golf Cart Mount:
The VIDEO CADDY IS A great idea which has potential for unlimited use. It has three component parts. They are: the clamp, the ball swivel and the camera mount. The clap is well designed and built. It can be attached to almost anything including a round diameter such as a pipe. The Ball Swivel is also designed and built well it uses a quick release camera mount base like most video or camera tripods which has a bubble level.
The camera mount it self, however is a cheap poorly machined knock-off of a Bogan mount. It doesn't fit well in the quick release and the camera screw thread is not a standard size and can't be used. I substituted a Bogan part which worked flawlessly. It was then a valuable tool in my bag of trick. Wedding videographers will like this product for remote unmanned mounts for unique angles. The manufacturers is not responsive to emails about the problem. I have used it behind the alter for weddings and in a bar filming bands with a small digital camcorder.

I bought this to film a fundraiser event where there will be a motorcycle ride of about 300 riders. So I needed to be able to mount my camera on my bike instead of someone holding it while we follow the riders. Good construction

Comments about The VideoCaddy Golf Cart Mount:
This thing is a beast. Solid construction and design. It is almost to solid. It seems like overkill for my flashed based camcorder. I think they should make a lighter model for today's camcorders. The clamp is excellent for both round and flat surfaces. You can shake the whole golf cart while holding it. There are some extra threaded holes and parts that don't seem to do anything. This makes me think they just modified someone else's product to fit their needs.

Comments about The VideoCaddy Golf Cart Mount:
I use this bracket to attach a 2nd and 3rd camcorder to a tripod when shooting sports with multiple camcorders.
Main pan/tilt mount of tripod is for primary camcorder that follows the action.
2nd and 3rd camcorder are fixed using two of these VideoCaddys clamped to left and right tripod legs, each zoomed in to catch the action at the goals on both ends of the lacrosse field.
Just be sure that your tripod legs are sturdy - my Velbon tripod has metal legs approx 1" in diameter.
