Optoma Technology EX525ST DLP Short Throw Projector
The Optoma EX525ST DLP Multimedia Projector is ideally suited to educational or mid-sized business use, delivering quality performance on the promise of great specs in a compact, bottom-line-friendly package. Whether in a boardroom, classroom or auditorium the 2500 ANSI lumen, XGA resolution, LCD system, will add punch to your presentations, including applications with problematic ambient light levels.
Weighing in at only 9.5 lbs, portability is a key attribute of the projector and Optoma has taken into account last-minute meetings and tight spaces, by outfitting EX525ST with a short-throw zoom lens capable of projecting a 100" image from a distance of only four feet.
Features include a built in speaker for times when external monitors are not an option and an RJ45 input for network connection. A DVI interface handles digital signal.

I use as a mobile projector for cooperative extension education presentations. The short throw gets it out of the audience. Image quality is excellent and bright enough to use on a plain wall. The projector is very quiet (silent really).
It does not come with a case. It can be mounted on a tripod (a height range of 2 to 4 feet is desirable) but choose a sturdy one to support the 9 lb projector. This projector is one generation back in size and weight - a trade off I accepted to prevent set up in the front rows of the audience.

I needed to fill a 9' x 12' video screen that was put into a corner. This projector completely filled the screen from about five feet away. Great picture and definitely bright enough. Only drawback, and this is so minimal - no carrying case included - although the box it comes in has a handle to transport it, so it's still a carrying case, but not as nice as a fabric bag.
