I got these to replace the lost windscreen that came on my 1/4" Sony lavaliere mic. These are at least 4 times bigger than the one I lost. I wish they listed the actual size of this item. They are 3/4" wide and an inch tall. Maybe there is some application for these that I'm not aware of, but I don't see how a typical lav mic could be attached to an interview subject with these in use.

I like these little windscreens and use them with different static microphones which I use in acoustic guitars. Even though the Pearstone windscreens are a little too long for some of the static mikes I use, they work fine and in my opinion they are better too big and versatile than too small. They will come handy with other small size mikes. They also do the job of cutting out wind noises well in my experience and in the way I use them (mostly inside but sometimes outside a guitar).

The windscreen is much larger then the original Sony 1/4" windscreens.

I have a Lectrasonics UM400a and the windscreen it came with was terrible. It always fell off no matter what. The Pearstone windscreens fit much better and seem to reduce wind noise even better.

Price is a little steep.

The price was right. Need I say more!

Only downside is that they are far bigger than the picture shows. Of course if they are too big, you can shorten them a little to fit your mic better.

The old windscreens we used for our minister's 1/4 inch lavalier microphone were too loose and often would fall off and get lost. However, the new Pearstone windscreens are much tighter and provide a good protection against loss and sound spikes caused by the speaker's voice projection. The package of three are a good value and I would recommend them for any 1/4 inch lavalier microphone.

Eventhough these windscreens make my lavalier mic stand out a little more than I generally like it to, I didn't dock any stars from my rating because this is a generic product and I understand it has to be this size in order to fit a variety of mics. I had a old Azden lav mic that I could not find a clip for. After stumbling upon a B and H kit that included a generic clip and these windscreens, I could finally start using the mic again, so I don't really care that they're slightly larger than the original windscreen.

i bought these for my shure lav mics...and when my actors wear these mics, the heads move around too much and introduce noise into my audio feed.

These seem much bigger than shown in the picture. Maybe it's just me. But they do the job and do it well, so I can't complain.

Always a good idea to have extra windscreens around when working with Community Producers at a Public Access station. These fit the bill perfectly.

I use this windscreen on my wireless mic when shooting outdoor video in windy conditions and it does a great job. You will be satisfied with this windscreen.
