Comments about HP / Hewlett-Packard Elite Autofocus Webcam:
The look of the camera reminds of Jonny 5 from Short Circuit, haha. Anyway, it's the best camera I've had. I couldn't tell at first because the picture quality doesn't look that much better than the lower megapixel cameras. The difference is in the autofocus and its capability to adjust to color and light. A lesser quality camera makes your face all white when you have an all black background but with this one the color of your face is unaffected by the background. Also, I could put the camera up to the computer screen and the text on the screen is actually legible through the camera. I don't know what that means but I know other cameras can't do that, they just show bright light. Another thing is that the camera has a little shutter so if you don't want the other person to see you you don't have to keep your hand on the camera you just close the little shutter. I don't have the webcam lingo down but for the average person its a great camera and B&H had it for half the price!

Great quality camera that has high resolution.
Only downside if the arm doesn't hold the camera head up< it will slowly drop over a minute or so after raising it and yuo cannot move around too fast or opten, as it will keep refocusing and it will be a blur for a long time.

The HP Elite works great. Windows 7 has the drivers for the webcam and I got it working with Skype within minutes. However, the software HP included did not support Windows 7. You can go to [@] and order the software on CD at no cost. Would have been better to be able to download the software rather then waiting a week to get the CD.

Comments about HP / Hewlett-Packard Elite Autofocus Webcam:
i paid [$] incl taxes and it really is worth the money. The webcam takes videos at 3.2 MP and the quality is really good. The webcam adjusts to the surrounding light. So when you turn on your webcam, it takes 2-3 seconds to adjust to the light and then gives you a very clear video. Really good one to use. It was very easy to set up. Open the box, connect the USB to your computer and it installs the driver itself. One disadvantage is that, sometimes the neck of the webcam tends to come down, it requires proper altitude and positioning of the webcam. Rest, its too good for the money.
