Comments about Apple 13" MacBook Notebook Computer:
I have been a IBM clone or windows computer user since 1994. I got used to crashes, slow start ups, bugs and viruses. I always wandered how Mac would perform but never try them.
Now with this sleek looking, fast start ups, long battery, and not hot at all computer, I can say this is the best computer I have ever owned.
The SSD Solid State Drive(no moving parts) is very fast. It does not get hot and it consumes much less energy than the regular old technology Hard Drives. It should last a long time. I have had countless Hard drives failed on my old computers. I never lost important data but it is pain to deal with them.
The only reason I never switch to a Mac before is because if the availability of programs and cost of them.
Now, there is no excuse. I have installed Windows XP in my Mac running at the same time with Parallels. My windows copy is much more faster in Mac even running side by side with the Mac OS. I have installed the essential windows programs that I can't live without and they work side by side with my safe Firefox Internet Browser in the Mac,
I will never go back to windows based computers.
Mac's hardware implementation is awesome. It just works out of the box. No bloat ware you have to spend hours to remove and the best part is that there are no viruses or spyware I have to worry about.
I was able to crash the Mac Book already. It was due to a outdated Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse driver. I have fixed the problem.
No more crashes and the computer just works.
I am sure using an Apple mouse would make this much better but I wanted to use some of my old hardware with my new Mac.
The price difference is not longer an issue. This Laptops, depending on the configuration, can be even less expensive than the windows based ones.
