The Pocket Wizard NM4-P Pre-Trigger Motor Drive Cord connects to the camera's remote cable socket, and enables your Pocket Wizard radio slave SET to trigger the camera's shutter remotely.

This cable is 3.75' (45cm) long, and is compatible with Nikon DSLR cameras with the 4-pin remote socket (e.g. D70s (not D70), D80).

Works with any Nikon camera that accepts the Nikon MC-DC1 trigger cord

Comments about PocketWizard NM4 Motor Drive Cord, Nikon 4-Pin to Miniphone - 3.7' (45cm):

I wanted to remotely fire a camera from another PocketWizard mounted on another camera. Did not realize I needed the pre-release trigger to do this. I was able to manually focus the remote camera and the cord worked as expected. Anyone wanting to use auto-focus will need the NM4-P.

Comments about PocketWizard NM4 Motor Drive Cord, Nikon 4-Pin to Miniphone - 3.7' (45cm):

Connects my PocketWizard Plus II to my Nikon D80 for remote triggering, since I already had the PWs. I have been using the Nikon ML-L3 IR Remote for years, but found aiming the remote at the front of the camera from one side annoying for self-portraits, macro shots where I was trying not to touch the camera and time-lapse shooting.
