Korg has utilized their twenty years of industry-defining workstation expertise with the advent of the M50 61-Key Synthesizer Workstation. This portable keyboard contains premium quality sounds, effects, drum tracks, polyphonic arpeggiators, sequencing tools, SD card slot, USB connectivity, 5.7" TouchView Screen all in a lightweight platform weighing under 15 pounds. The M50 is made for performance and recording with its plethora of exceptional features.
- Designed for Performance
- Controlling the M50 is simple with its TouchView Screen surrounded by backlit, rounded buttons plus a four-way joystick and 4 chord trigger buttons for instant one finger chords hits that are easily assignable
- Loads of Sounds
- Access over 600 individual sound programs including the Korg's SG-1 Sampling Grand, which can be easily tweaked with the Tone Adjust feature
- To Combine or not Combine
- Up to 16 sound programs can be stacked, layered, zoned, or split with room for 640 programs and 512 combinations
- World Class Effects
- Add 5 insert effects per program and 2 master effects with real time control of parameters, which can all be fine tuned with a 3-Band EQ
- Drum Tracks
- The M50 includes over 1,600 drum samples laid into 32 drum kits with room for 48 user drum kits. Make your own drum tracks with these voices or use one of the 670 preloaded drum grooves
- Arpeggiator
- Dual polyphonic arpeggiators can create bass lines, picking patterns and accents each with their own timbre. A graphic polyphonic arpeggiator editor makes it easy to create arpeggios for any musical situation.
- 200,000 Note Sequencer
- Create instant 16 MIDI track sequences up to 480pq resolution with intuitive looping and cue functions
- Enhanced Definition Synthesis
- Just like the M3, the M50 uses Korg's Enhanced Definition Synthesis with control of 2 stereo oscillators, 4 filters, 2 amp sections, 5 LFO and 5 time-variant Envelope Generators
- Connectivity
- This workstation includes both standalone and plug-in sound editing software for detailed graphic editing on your computer when connected via USB cable. Store your data on economical and stable SD cards

This is a great all in one synth workstation on the market now. This provides one of the best values imho. I've looked at Roland, Yamaha, and other alternatives but for the price, this keyboard offers a lot for the money.
Pluses are:
- touchscreen option in this type of price range
- very user friendly and intuitive
- Oaysis and M3 Sounds
Minuses are:
- plastic is on the weak side if you plan to travel or gig with it, be careful
- external power supply can be a burden if gigging
- only synth and no on board sampling

This keyboard is very easy to use, very light weight,nice to play.
a lot of sounds for many styles of music, tons of beats to inspire you to write
music. Only one thing that I don't like, is the Wall Wart power supply, but I guess that helps keep the price low.

Great sounds, good arpegios, easy to use, touch screen works really nice. Knobs controls effects, arpeggios and MIDI.
It could have 76 keys and be expandable.
No after touch (do you really need them?)
