Though it's an excellent DVD player, it can also be used as a CD or MP3 player. You could actually use this unit to share your favorite songs and photos with friends and family. In addition, it features EZ View, S-VHS playback, and super scan playback up to 128x; supports DivX, WMA, MPEG4 formats, and is compatible with DVD-Video, DVD-R/W, DVD+R/W, CD-R/W discs. It's capable of scanning an entire video frame at once; scan-lines commonly associated with interlaced video are drastically reduced. The result is a spectacularly clear image with no motion artifacts (stair-stepping), and details so sharp they seem as if they're etched onto the screen.

• Dolby Digital and DTS Processing: Built-in processors handle the multi-channel decoders for Dolby Digital and DTS digital audio processing, capable of advanced 24-bit processing and an outstanding sampling frequency of 96kHz. • DivX Home Theater Certified: DivX is video compression software, which enables high quality video to be compressed into very small files then downloaded onto CD-R or CD-RW and played back with very little loss of quality.

• One Touch Recording: It provides a simple and convenient way to make a recording. With One-Touch Recording offers the ability to record onto a VHS tape in 30-minute increments up to 4-hours at the touch of a single button.

• S-VHS Quasi Playback: This unit allows playback of Super VHS tapes with regular VHS resolution in SP mode.

• EZ View Feature: EZ View Letter Box Eliminator enables the elimination of the black letterbox bars of 4:3 TV screens with the push of a button on the remote control.
