This isn't the simpilest to install but it is very doable. The factory battery is junk, this replacement allowed my unit to fuction again without AC power.
I would buy it again.

To replace battery, remove all 8 case screws and remove both halves of the case. Be careful to catch the button part that will fall out. Unplug and remove the hard drive. Remove the two screws that hold the circuit board in place and remove the circuit board. Unplug and remove the battery.
To replace the battery, reverse these steps.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to install this battery in a ND 2700 unless you are willing to bust the PC board out of the frame of the device, possibly destroying the circuit traces. The only way to use this replacement battery is to splice the existing power connector wiring on to the new battery. You cannot remove the original battery without tearing the entire unit apart. Nexto knows this and does not appear to care.
DO NOT BUY A NEXTO ND 2700
