Zacuto Z-ZG-16 ZipGear
The Zacuto Z-ZG-16 is a 16" Zipgear used with their adjustable follow focus system. Simply wrap either a focus or zoom ring with the strand and use the provided special gear locking tightener to get a perfect fit. In seconds, the camera will be ready to go!

I purchased (4) ZipGear(s) for my Zeiss ZE lenses and Zacuto Z-Focus follow focus. I chose them over other competitors due to their low profile and engineering simplicity. My only gripe is the cost of these gear rings! They should be half their cost for such a simple product, IMO. Lastly, don't get hung up on the marketing hype surrounding HDSLR's and using follow focus. In most situations, it really isn't necessary, unless you have a dedicated AC working in tandem.

I use these on my Canon L lenses. Best thing about these is that I can custom fit them to each of my lenses and that I can them with a variety of follow focuses.

Top quality zip gear, great for simple light setup. Works with redrock follow focus perfectly. Can fit tonika 11-16 2.8, sigma 30 1.4, canon 17-40, without having to cut down anymore of the zip gear. So this is great as I can use this with half my kit. Only down side is it is quite expensive for a piece of plastic and a tiny piece of alloy.

Wonderful lens gear that doesn't add size to the diameter of the lens making each turn the same as if you were turning the actual focus ring. In my opinion the best lens gear currently on the market.
The only way to get a better gear would be to buy a lens with one built in.
