Behringer Eurodesk SX2442FX-PRO - 24-Channel Recording and Sound Reinforcement Console
The Behringer Eurodesk SX2442FX-PRO 24-Channel Audio Console is an affordable audio mixer that delivers a feature set suitable for recording and live sound applications. The desk features a total of 24 input channels, with 16 mono and 4 stereo input channels. All mono inputs include XLR microphone inputs and inserts for routing signal to external processors.
The mixer's recording features include a built-in 24-bit VIRTUALIZER effects processor, 4-band EQ section and 4-bus outputs for routing to monitors, multi-track recorders, etc. A stereo 9-band EQ with FBQ Feedback Detection, global mute switching and Mono output for sub-woofers are among some of the key sound reinforcement features.
The studio-grade acoustically "Invisible" IMP Mic Preamps and ULN (Ultra Low-Noise) circuitry deliver pristine audio fidelity and minimize noise. With 24 channels, the full-featured Eurodesk SX2442FX-PRO is ideal for project studio recording and sound reinforcement in small clubs, houses-of-worship and more.

This is the best you can expect to get at this price. Even at the MSRP, it would be a good buy. I am a playwright, and I will be using my SX2442FX to produce radio spots, sound tracks & effects, and for live stage performances. I've been in the entertainment business since 1984, so yes I have more than an idea of what's to be expected, and with the exception of a few bells and whistles found in the high-end mixers, the is truly the best of both worlds. I have also installed some of these same boards in churches, and have not had one complaint about its performance.

Loads of XLR inputs. Relatively easy setup (if you have an inkling what you're doing). Minor problems involving Effects LED area of board--may be affected by plugging/unplugging Main Out while board is on. Possible power surge? Fixed itself once, hopefully won't do it again. Who knows, but luckily we won't be using FX anyways. GREAT PRICE FOR WHAT YOU GET!
