If your application calls for an economically priced network camera that is also a good low light performer then consider the ACM-5711N from ACTi. In this camera you'll find audio and alarm I/O ports; a built-in motion detector; and an analog output for hybrid operation.

- Excellent Low Light Performance
- When confronted by poor or challenging lighting situations, this camera has a number of advanced functions that it can readily tap into and self correct. Leading the pack is a Sens-Up function that electronically brightens the image without introducing significant noise to the picture. Also of importance is the camera's SuperHAD CCD sensor, which efficiently deals with the smearing problems associated with points of light in an otherwise dark image.
- Selectable MPEG-4 / MJPEG Compression
- Selectable MPEG-4/MJPEG encoding modes gives you tighter control over the data distribution process. For example, you can use the lower quality but more efficient MPEG-4 format to view live camera images and opt for the slower but higher quality MJPEG codec when recording over the network.
- 2-Way Audio
- Attach a microphone and speaker of your choice to the back of the camera and you'll be able to hear and speak with a person at the camera location over the network.
- Hybrid Analog Camera
- An analog BNC output means that the camera can be used as a conventional security camera at the same time it is transmitting digitally over the network. And unlike similar hybrid cameras, the analog output on this camera is of a high quality, with 420 lines of resolution.
- PoE (Power over Ethernet)
- With the addition of a PoE injector, you will be able to power the camera via the same Ethernet cable used to communicate data to the camera. This will make it easy to install the camera near ceilings, in hallways, elevators, outdoors (with appropriate housing) and similar areas with no direct access to an AC outlet.
