Tamrac 1713 Superlight Computer Messenger 17 (Black with Gray)
The black with gray 1713 Superlight Computer Messenger 17 from Tamrac is a slim, lightweight 600 denier PolyTek and ballistic nylon bag designed to carry and protect a laptop computer with a screen up to 17". There is a completely foam-padded laptop compartment with a plastic-reinforced bottom to protect the computer. A foam-padded, adjustable divider keeps files and documents organized and separated.
The Superlight 1713 has a front pocket that organizes personal items such as an MP3 player, business cards, pens and other small items. It has a zippered pocket on the front flap that holds travel documents and personal items. There is also a convenient side pocket that holds a cell phone. The case has a Piggy-Back Pocket that when closed is a pocket and when open it allows the bag to be slipped over the handle of rolling luggage. The case is carried by handles or an adjustable shoulder strap with a non-slip pad.

I use this bag for daily transport of my 17" Macbook Pro. The computer fits the bagr easily, even with a protective cover. There is lots of room for extra files, DVDs, books, and paperwork. In addition, there are very well designed pockets for cords, AC adapters, flash drives, pens, etc. It has a dedicated loop to attach to rolling luggage handle, a secure clasp, a very comfortable shoulder strap/pad, and handy external pockets for mobile phones. Two things I'm not crazy about: the strap could be two or three inches longer and the carry handle is awkwardly off center making it uncomfortable to carry the bag by the handle. It's a sturdy, well-designed bag that's well worth the price.
