ACTi ACM-3001 IP Fixed Dome Camera
At first glance, the ACTi ACM-3001 may seem like any other dome camera. Probe a little further and you'll realize you're looking at a high performance IP camera, perfectly suited for even demanding security environments. Chances are, everything you imagined would be nice to have in a network camera, ACTi thought of it too.
It all starts with a Progressive Scan imager, providing you with clean and stable pictures. Then there are MPEG-4/MJPEG compression options for better data management. The good news keeps on coming in the form of audio I/O ports and a built-in motion detection function. Finally, there's a PoE feature, so you'll have greater flexibility in the installation process.

- Progressive Scan Imager
- Imagine viewing a still image of a vehicle moving in front of a brick wall. If the image was taken with an interlaced camera, the moving vehicle in the picture will appear blurry against the solid wall background, making it difficult to distinguish the characteristics of the car and its occupants. With a progressive scan imager, both the freeze frame image of the moving vehicle and the wall behind it will appear in sharp relief.
- Selectable MPEG-4 / MJPEG Compression
- Selectable MPEG-4/MJPEG encoding modes give you the ability to prioritize higher quality over lower compression or vice versa, depending on your particular application.
- Bundled with Software
- Included with the camera is ACTi's network management software. With this program users will be able to view live camera images as well as record them to a local PC's hard drive. Users will also be able to access the camera to change settings including configuring motion detection parameters.
- 2-Way Audio
- Attach a microphone and speaker of your choice to the back of the camera and you'll be able to hear and speak with a person at the camera location over the network.
- PoE (Power over Ethernet)
- With the addition of a PoE injector, you will be able to power the camera via the same Ethernet cable used to communicate data to the camera. This will make it easy to install the camera near ceilings, in hallways, elevators, outdoors (with appropriate housing) and similar areas with no direct access to an AC outlet.
