At the heart of the ACTi ACM-3311N lies a 1/3" Sony SuperHAD CCD, generating clean video images with superior brightness and sharpness. In supporting roles are a number of built-in electronic controls serving to combat challenging lighting situations and to improve overall security. This level of performance coupled with the camera's compact profile makes it suitable for a wide range of commercial surveillance applications.

Note! Wall mount bracket available (MTB-201-R0)

Sony SuperHAD CCD
Developed by Sony, SuperHAD CCD technology minimizes the effects of smearing associated with bright points of light in an otherwise dark image. This will make it easier to make out the details of people or objects in the vicinity of the light source, such as the driver of a vehicle at night or the vehicle's license plates.
IR Illumination
IR illumination ensures that you won't be left in the dark when night falls. IR illumination is automatically activated when light levels fall below 4 lux.
Selectable MPEG-4 / MJPEG Compression
Selectable MPEG-4/MJPEG encoding modes gives you better control over how data is distributed over the network. For example, you can use the faster but lower resolution MPEG-4 format to view live images and the slower but higher quality MJPEG format when recording to a DVR over the network.
Bundled with Software
Included with the camera is ACTi's network management software. With this program users will be able to view live camera images as well as record them to a local PC's hard drive. Users will also be able to access the camera to change settings including configuring motion detection parameters.
2-Way Audio
Attach a microphone and speaker of your choice to the back of the camera and you'll be able to hear and speak with a person at the camera location over the network.
PoE (Power over Ethernet)
With the addition of a PoE injector, you will be able to power the camera via the same Ethernet cable used to communicate data to the camera. This will make it easy to install the camera near ceilings, in hallways, elevators, outdoors (with appropriate housing) and similar areas with no direct access to an AC outlet.

Comments about ACTi ACM-3311N IP IR 3-inch Dome Camera:

We purchased one of these cameras mainly for testing purposes and ended up installing it for SD surveillance. The IR illumination does lighten the 30' x 20' room in which it is installed.Although the web interface is intended to be used with Internet Explorer only, the streams are accessible by other means; see ACTi's publication on the subject: [@] We stream the video to Firefox with no trouble.Documentation is very poor, and much of the camera's functionality had to be figured out by trial-and-error.The PoE works flawlessly as one could expect, but the camera seems to loose its connection or get stuck in a firmware loop somewhere. We occasionally need to unplug/replug when we loose stream connectivity. When installing the clear dome, the lens tends to move from where you spent several minutes aiming and focusing it. It takes some time and patience to get it perfect.

Comments about ACTi ACM-3311N IP IR 3-inch Dome Camera:

We had ordered this to work with a Control4 system. We have not been able to get this unit to work at all with the Home Automation.

Looks to be a good unit, just not for application.

When this company says internet explorer, they mean it. It is not compatible with anything else... so Mac lovers, don't bother. It is only able to stream via Active X, so you can't access the camera by any other browser.
