I bought this product hoping that I would get a nice introduction into using my new Tascam DP-02 Portastudio. I was quite pleased. The presenter, Dave Wills, was very pleasant, and made everything easy to understand. My only wish, was that he could have gone into more details on some of the advance features, but I understand that was not the purpose of this disc. Overall, very well done!

THE DP-02 IS THE FIRST TRACK RECORDER IVE EVER OWNED OR HAD ACCESS TO. THIS TUTORIAL GUIDED ME THRU EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW TO GET STARTED. WATCH THIS ALONG WITH REFERING TO YOUR MANUAL AND YOU WILL BE READY TO START ENJOYING YOUR DP-02.ANTOTHER GREAT THING IS THATS IS BROKEN DOWN IN LABELED CHAPTERS SO YOU CAN GO BACK TO A SECTION ON THE VIDEO IF YOU NEED TO. I WOULD SAY THAT THIS IS A MUST HAVE IF YOU OWN A TASCAM DP-02.IN MY OPINION THE THE TUTORIAL VIDEO SHOULD JUST COME WITH THE RECORDER AS PART OF THE USERS MANUAL.

I was having problems getting to know the product but with the help of the tutorial I was able to acquaint myself with the nuances of its recording abilities. The DVD also has a section which covers recording technique which was extremely helpful as well. I would recommend this product to the beginner recording musician.

The owners manual is an important reference Guide,
while reading it for 3 days waiting for the DVD.
(Since I'm new to recording)David Wills had me up and recording in One Hour. I was simply amazed how his teachings made me feel like I had been recording all my life and if that was'nt enough the things the manual don't show he does.I recomend the DVD just for the extra's. plus it's enjoyable to watch.
